Moving of cards that are currently revealed by "look at top X cards of library" to another zone becomes buggy after searching your library. After you search your library in a match, if you do "look at top X cards of library" and then try and move those cards anywhere else, they no longer disappear from the revealed cards window when moved. Prior to searching your library it works correctly.

It seems you have a few sets in VPT that are listed with an "&" sign in them, or there should be, however, within VPT it's just double spaces. Example: "Gateway WPN Promos". I tried naming the folder itself "Gateway & WPN Promos", as well as "Gateway WPN Promos", and neither of them will show up. Premium Deck Series - Fire & Lightning has the same issue.

Giant Badger, from the Book Inserts, doesn't show up, but all the other book inserts do.

Revised (Limited) has no cards under it. I'm also not sure what this is, as I've never heard of a Limited Revised set.

I'm in the process of downloading the image file from this site, though the torrent is going insanely slow. Any other anomalies I find, I'll post here. Otherwise, I really love this program! Since for the moment VPT does not have this information available in the deck editor,
to save the time needed to looks things up or the effort of memorization,
I made this for myself and my friends.
I thought it may be useful to others as well, so I'm posting it here.

In the sideboard, listed as groups, the template deck has the following...
Block expansion / core set pairs,
and
A full list of banned and restricted cards for,
Modern, extended, block, vintage, legacy and classic game formats.
(Lists acquired directly from WotC web site.)

Also I figured Id explain my deck naming system.

AAA = Initials of the deck builder
wgbrba = White, Green etc... if its CAP cards of that color are used in the deck, if its low, there are none.
Nil = Block set abbreviation
C00 = Core set
Template = Deck name
00 = Deck version

What would make my life easier is an offline "Free Table" mode where I can type in the card name, drag the card onto the play area (custom sizable play area with scroll bars for areas exceeding the window size as I prefer windowed mode) using the VPTable UI and arrange everything, add counters, tap/untap manually from there. Adding players is not really even necessary, I can use a creature no one uses and use Counters for life (Woohoo, a use for Mungha Wyrm!). I would actually prefer cards to have no area protections either so I can overlap cards like in normal play.

You kinda see where I am going with this. I don't care about cheating, or online connectivity, or automatic rule checking, or phases. Just speed and manual input. As long as I can manage the 3 other players at the host table mentally, I will be very happy. I may not know much about programming but it looks like most of the foundation is already here. Virtual Playtable setup has a core framework and sample game module.

MTG module automatically installed into "My Documents\Magic" folder.
Put images manually into "My Documents\Magic\images\" folder (or set other path in options)

changes:
- added autocheck and notification from app when new version available
- added support of multiple modules
- mtg module: fixed tokens bug, added tokens art
- mtg module: small changes in gameplay interface

I've sent it to Symantec for analysis and I encourage you to contact them to discuss this with them. Is there any way to change what packs you chose or to save certain profiles of packs, like the current ones.

For example when we used to use MWS we would each chose three packs and play sealed with those.

Sometimes we would have like 5 color only decks and chose like 8 packs or only artifacts, but you get what I mean.

Any thoughts or input from anyone would be great.

Searching should cause the card list to become active, since it already selects a card.
3. The card downloading dialog shouldn't be modal, it should be possible to download while making decks.
4. Cards don't always use the latest edition, if I add a card from duels of the planeswalkers to my deck, it's shown it with the old-school border.
5. The portable version of the program takes quite a bit to load the first time (not very important).
6. Remove Item and Decrease Count work almost the same (except decrease count doesn't completely remove the card), you could just make a fifth decrease count remove the card, and Remove Item should remove all cards.
7. Small addition: Make the number of Creatures/Spells/Lands always visible, specially lands.
8. Deck info does nothing (button should be disabled if the feature isn't implemented)
9. Group feature doesn't make much sense (how do I select to which group cards go?).
10. Ctrl-S to save decks :)
11. Filter doesn't show multicolored cards (awesome work on making it show hybrid cards though).
12. Binoculars button next to the search does nothing (should re-search what's written).
13. "Garruk, the Veil Cursed" is Green/Black, but shows as green in the preview.

It's cool to see that Magic Workstation is being remade (in Qt, which means cross platform yey!), the new interface is much more streamlined, very nice. The new game mode is unfortunately similar to the magic workstation one, which I never liked. Still, it's in development and will no doubt become better.

Will you also be making a pro version of this software? Or will you have an alternative form of revenue?

This would be a Standard tournament. Which means any cards from Magic 2012, Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Beseiged, New Phyrexia, Innistrad, and Dark Ascension would be fair game in deck creation. If you need more information you can ask in this thread.
